As we are “almost” finished with Gracehaven House, we are so appreciative of all the volunteers who devoted their time to help complete our mission. We truly could not have done this without them!

Gracehaven Volunteer List for Remodeling House

Overall House Work:
We had a wonderful architect donate all of his time to create the design of the renovation.

Two Habitat for Humanity volunteers headed up the “tear out” of old carpet and materials

An amazing retired builder donated his considerable carpentry skills over a 9 month period (ie. built new walls, doors, built and designed upstairs desk and extended upper balcony railing)…time donated.

Koorsen Security – donated our security system (project coordinated by Brian)

Accurate Electric –  Rewired house during the busy Christmas holiday,  donated all the labor and electrical components and installed all the lighting.

Capital Lighting – Donated all lighting fixtures.

Armor Fire Protection Inc. -  Donated fire suppression system (Tim and Jamey thanks so much!)

Two very generous owners of a local restaurant – Provided over 250 meals to volunteer teams over a 6 month period.

Drywall- Installed by volunteers from teams headed by Becky from a nearby Presbyterian Church and of course Russ was very helpful as well!

Beadboard throughout house- Installed by teams led by Tracy and Scott.

Interior Paint and supplies donated by  Martin Painting

Interior Design – Consulting donated by Crimson Designs.

Tom has generously and graciously provided insurance for the house and many other things!

Room Projects:

Classroom

Dropped ceiling by a team from a nearby Presbyterian Church  – team leader Becky

Classroom painted by Deb, Roxy, Terry, Becky,  and Jeanette!

Computer networking, information technology (found computer desks and  computers) by Ken

Exterior siding done by John.

Bedrooms

Decorated and painted by Columbus Soroptimist Club

Bedroom blinds by Bob and Lynn

Bathrooms

Painted and decorated  (time and decorations donated) by a team led by Laurie, sister Lisa and mom Ruthanne

Tile flooring  done by team led by Russ  (and assisted dry walling)

Bathroom cabinetry in 2 bathrooms made and donated by Norman

Living room and entry areas

Painted by many volunteers including  Jeanette and Deb

Kitchen

Painted, hinges updated and doors hung by Jeanette and Larry  (and every other detail imaginable!!)

Brick work painting and updating

In Great room and T.V area by Deb (assisted by Jeanette)

Counseling Room

Yard work:
Outside Landscaping, flowers and mulch donated by a team led by Caitlin.

Outside Mowing and Lawn – maintained by Ralph and Larry  (time donated)
